First Solo High Performance Flight

Today, I completed my first solo high performance flight on N2214L, a brand-new Cessna 182T Skylane NAV III. Veronique, Daniel, Etienne and I did the now usual Bay tour, with a stop in Half Moon Bay (KHAF) for lunch. Daniel is a retired pilot from the French Air Force and seemed to really enjoy the capabilities offered by the Garmin G1000. Next step: solo flight to South Lake Tahoe (KTVL).

Man, you’re lucky…

I’m doing the contrary, I moved to smaller rugged planes. I started my tailwheel endorsement. You should definitely try this if you haven’t already done so, it’s so much fun!

Matthieu,

Tailwheel sounds good indeed. And what about getting a seaplane rating? Would you be interested to do it over a week-end together? I have heard about a good place to do it in Calaveras.

Also, I will need a co-pilot for helping me maintain my currency once I get my IFR rating. In order to stay current, you need to complete 6 approaches every six months, but 12 or 18 would be preferable. If you want to fly on the right seat in a Cirrus SR20 for free and be able to log the hours as pilot in command, let me know.

Best regards
-Ismael
