Dragibus

Some things do not change, and this is good, especially when the memories we keep of them do not get embellished over time. For Marcel Proust, memories were brought back by a madeleine. For me today, it was a pack of Dragibus, a Jelly Belly like candy produced by Haribo. As a kid, I would keep all the black ones for the end of the degustation. I did the very same today, and I am pleased to report that they still taste better than the other ones. Sweet and mildly sour. Just before boarding, I bought a box Quality Street chocolates, another staple from my childhood. Nassim: did you know that they added orange-flavored toffees that look like the strawberry-flavored ones that we would always fight over? You’ve got to check them out!
